About Us

We are a small family-owned business operating in the Upper Grand Lagoon neighborhood of Panama City Beach Florida. In November 2021, while pregnant, Kara started Upper Grand Design and Floral. With a vision of creating a luxury floral experience and a desire to work from home as a new Mom, Kara curated an impressive portfolio.

Kara graduated from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee with a BFA degree in Interdisciplinary Arts. She worked under a seasoned floral designer for 2 years before relocating to Florida.

Florida’s tropical climate, unpredictable weather, and warm southern hospitality has been an ongoing muse. With a love of nature and desire to be more sustainable, Kara works with local vendors, avoids the use of plastics and foams. Her subscription services, focus on decreasing waste while providing exemplary customer service, bringing beauty into the everyday and the special occasion.
